Well, I might go with vista. Or get XP and use a cool alienware themes.
I dont have much of a budget, but I really dont have the money to pay for a 900-1000$ computer system lol. Well, not at once anyway.

well, the system i had suggested earlier is a monster and especially for the price. The only real issue there would be graphics card, which is only DX9 compliant, but even then, you could just wait till everything turns DX10 only and just get ATI's HD series card, and AMD's new cores that they are coming out with. That would be like a year or so down the road, so you really can't go wrong with what you would be getting.

So what exactly are you saying? That the graphics isn't good enough or that there would be a better one coming out?

well, i'm saying, you could just use the set-up i gave you and it would be a sweet PC for a couple years before you would have to upgrade, and it is super cheap. Thats just the first option, the second one is pretty much put a whole different set-up together that will work with games for window vista only, (DX10 games) But that set-up, would be a whole lot more money.

I dont think i will be playing too many vista game so i dont think thats a big issue at the moment. I have already brought my case, lights, and fans. I think that the next thing i want to go for is the power supply and then the motherboard.

Now, i have no clue what kind of motherboard i should get so if you can refer me to a really good, but somewhat cheap one, then that would be great. Here is the power supply I will be buying:
power1
or
power2

I was told that the 600w would be good, but so would having a bigger fan. So i'm kinda stuck here .

well if DX10 games won't be an issue, then i would say get my set-up for sure, all the links still work on page one. So, i'd suggest just getting everything i suggested earlier. Only, i just thought about that, instead of getting the power supply i suggested, a good unit to look for, thats reliable and fairly price is the OCZ powerstream 600w.

Yeah, everything i suggested is really good, but i there is a better processor.
The other one was just a really good value, and i wasn't sure of what you wanted to do. But yeah, this machine will be a beast.
Newegg.com - AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM2 Processor - Retail

oh yeah, that powersupply looks good.

hey, sorry for not getting back sooner, well actually the board supports 32gb, but windows XP only supports 4gb, and 4gb is a crap ton of memory

well its the exact same on Vista 32 bit version, which is a mathematical limit of all 32bit systems. On the 64bit version of Vista, i'm pretty sure its something like 128gb's

Wow. I might just go ahead and get the 64bit version. Actually, it would be difficult to have a computer with 4gb ram move slow. Wouldn't it?
