Default Playing crysis - not a problems thread

Hey guys, any of you far on in crysis yet? Im just on the second chapter and am finding it really annoying having to use the machine gun you start with, is there any point hanging on to this? - I can never seem to find any ammo for it instead having to use the gun most of the baddies drop (i forget what it actually is, maybe ak-47) ? I'd really like to have the precision rifle and 'a' machine gun but don't want to gimp myself later in the game.

Any thoughts?

I've completed the game twice on Easy.

Yeah that's very annoying some times. You can find ammo in houses and watch towers (where snipers are located). Always take your time to search around. Also when using a machine gun, try to fire short salvos instead of firing a whole magazine against 1 enemy.
Off Topic:

That is how american soldiers shoot (no offence).

And when you're driving a vehicle, try to kill the enemies by driving against them. Or use the machine gun mounted on top of the vehicle. That could save you a lot of ammo.

Yeah that's a good idea. Mind that you can press the C button to add stuff like scopes and Tactical sight for better accurancy. Also have a fully loaded 2nd weapon (like pistols). If you're low on ammo or need to reload without a place to hide, then you can switch to an alternative weapon.

I find the scar and the korean assault rifle pretty useless, u need to unload so many bullets into an enemy before they even contemplate dieing, best guns are the gauss rifle, shotgun and minigun. O ive completed it on medium difficulty already, planning to do it on delta soon enough
