I've decided it's time for a bit of an upgrade. I am a complete dumbass so I need help
Current Specs : (I don't know what is relevant so just copied and pasted important looking things haha) Processor: x86 Family 6 Model 6 Stepping 2 AuthenticAMD ~1600 Mhz Total Physical Memory: 256.00 MB Total Virtual Memory: 2.00 GB NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X CMI8738/C3DX PCI Audio Device 80GB Hard drive Well I hope that helps. I am on a tight budget of around £100 so any ideas would be great. You're going to have to hold my hand through this because I am a noob ![]() |

I'd look into bumping the RAM up to 512MB and upgrading to something like a Radeon 9600Pro if you're into gaming much at all.

Here are 3 ideas: 512MB mem, 6200 w/ 256MB vram, or 6600 w/ 128MB DDR3 vram. I'd personally go with the 6600 myself, a very nice value, and the addition of DDR3 compaired to DDR is an extra perk. Hope this help.
Cheers Matt

Do you have any other suggestions for a graphics card at around the £75 mark? I am ordering the memory as soon as I get money though but I'm still undecided about which card to get.

for the graphics card, the 9800 pro http://www.hardwareforums.com/all-wonder-9800-pro-88-13-inc-vat-5576/ for around £90, well worth the extra £15!
