hey buddy,
a friend of mine is having a problem with his pc. his psu and motherboard fried so he bought a new psu and motherboard and hes getting some problems. his setup is : amdXP 2000+ asrock k7upgrade-600 motherboard 512mb ddr what happens is when he switches on his pc everything powers up and then it beeps like this .. beepbeep <pause> *8 short beeps* .. then it resets. help desperatly needed. thanks. |

What BIOS has he got. I'm not sure which BIOS that mobo has.

Personally, I'd get that motherboard replaced. Your friend paid for a fully working motherboard, and that's not what he has.
