hey all i got a quick question about a chipset that is on a Emachine im looking at buying.

The chipset is NVIDIA GeForce 6150 SE
This is a list of chipsets and their specs directly from nvidia
    Motherboard GPU Technical Specifications

The emachine says that it is AMD Athlon™ 64 X2 dual-core processor 4400+

Now the nvidia site doesnt mention supporting this cpu like the others do, and by that i mean the others mention X2 being supported but not this MOBO.

I have been out of the computer world a while and i may be missing something so i was hoping one of you smarty pants could explain it for me :)

    thx heehee

    Hey,

Ive just had a look at the emachines webby along with the nvidia one and i see the same problem you do. I'm guessing your going for the e-machine model number 'T5230' as that is the only one with an x2 processor. My only answer would be is that the other two systems that are on e-machines website use that chipset as well and they are not X2 machines so the website creator could have made a mistake. I think your best bet is to contact e-machines and query it.

    Cheers Dave
