    Hi,
This problem started a couple of days ago. My system, while running, would power off itself suddenly, and when I try to power it on again, it would not start and gives me a beep and then a small beep, along with the code 8.3. however, if I wait like 5 to 10 mintues and then try to turn it on, it starts.

    From the Manual:
    AC2003 POST Code Definition:
    POST (hex)
    Description
    Power On Sequence
    8.1.
    Start power on sequence
    8.2.
    Enable ATX power supply
    8.3.
    ATX power supply ready
    8.4.
    DDR voltage ready
    8.5.
Setup PWM for CPU core voltage

    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks

    For the CPU?
When under load its around 50 C

More over the U Guru panel is set to give a warning at 75
and shut down the PC at 85

The CPU isnt the only thing that will shut down your system. Check your PSU to see that the intake / exhaust fans are functioning. It would make sense as the post beep and code you're being given points to the psu. Different manufacturers test their psu's differently, some are rated to deliver full power at 25* C and others at 50* C. If your psu is overheating and powering down it would make sense of your issue.

It appears that your power supply is there obviously, but is saying it is not ready (being stuck between 8.3 and 8.4)

humm,.. how do i check the psu temperature?

i think i have a 430w psu (thermaltak or antec) in another system. let me replace it and check.

as for the rest, like cpu, nb, the u guru panel monitors its temperature.

Unless you want to use a real thermometer to check your PSU (which might be quit difficult as you need to know the temp of the inside) you could swap the power supply with one from another computer and see if you still have problems.

also, try sitting a fan behind your current PSU to get as much air throug it as possible, if it doesnt shut down any more (or not as often) then i would defeinetly suspect the PSU.

btw, by shut down do you mean loses power or does the computer actually shut itself down?

Ya unfortunately theres no easy way to get your psu temp without a sensor.
I use the NZXT temp/fan monitor on my case and have one in my psu, one on my proc, and one on my vid card.

The computer SHUTS DOWN , not TURN OFF. Its like a POWER FAILURE, suddenly power is GONE. Thought my POST LED light still works, but the computer wouldn't start (Give the beep I mentioned) until I turn the PSU OFF and then wait for a couple of minutes, and then Turn ON.

I wil try to switch it, let me get my hands on my friends ANTEC 450W. :)

Hey guys, I just checked my PSU FAN. I just have one on the side (not the back) and when I turned on the PC, the FAN was NOT RUNNING.

Is this the problem or does the fan only run when the PSU is HOT?

OK, I think I got it, I took the hard drives out, moved the FAN with a Knife and a Screw fell down. I guess the FAN was stuck because of the screw. Now its running, I hope that was the problem and the PSU is not damaged.

Yap, that fan should run at all times. If it doesn't then the PSU will overheat and shut itself down to try to save itself. Glad you got that running. One thing I would do though is find out where that screw came from... Not always a good thing. If you have an option to RMA or return the psu I really would, as that has probably put so much stress on that fan motor it is gonna give out alot sooner than it normally would.

The PC is working fine now.
The Screw belongs to a CPU Fan, which i tried to mount on the CPU but in the end couldn't.

Thank you for the Help guys. Really Appreciated it,..
