i have a Geforce 8800 ultra, i load up crysis and i optimal settings, it puts everything on high, but AA is off ... ??? so obviously with the card i have, i go 16Qx and it lags ... eh? is this just a really good graphic game (i doubt it) or a dx10 problem or is it my g-card ? any info on this would be good, i would like to get the best performance out of the card, thanks
From what I understand this is just a really good graphics game. It is designed for the next generation of hardware. It uses a brand new engine for tomorrow's hardware, so I guess that is your answer. My friend was telling me that a test rig with maxed out hardware (SLI 8800s, quad core, gigs upon gigs of RAM) would not run it at max settings. I'm still not sure if I believe him but I do believe that a single 8800 Ultra will not run it at max.
yea, i have a asus striker extreme mobo, core 2 quad Q6600 2.81ghz processor (overclocked) 4gb of ram, i see ther is a very high setting lol, which amazes me.. however, you may be right as i have read they're making 3 way SLI
You gaming at the 24" native res? If so, you would be lucky to get 2xaa totally smooth, AA is a killer, lets hope the patch helps . On your crysis shortcut, right click it and click properties, add -DX9 at the end of Target to improve fps, DX10 brings nothing new to the table in this game. Nice rig BTW.
alright, i'll see if this helps yes i am running it 1920x1200, currently running all games that support it (counter strike source, F.E.A.R, etc) hm, yea i am playing with AA off and i still lag at some parts, but its not major... thanks man, this rig makes everyone here jealous lol
yea i can go 8xaa, but will lag at more parts than when its off i came to the decision of playing it on medium, it still looks good & i don't lag, i guess you have to go 1 setting lower than the default.
8xAA is not working properly then because 8xAA is unplayable, infact 4xAA is even, had a long argument on this on another forum were some guy rekons he was running 16xAA when no one can actually run 2xaa smoothly through the whole game.
