Ok i played a little with grandpa's PC while i was doing CISCO but i never finished the course so i don't really know how to remake the PC.

I did my best and to make the PC back ( watched internet videos ,etc.) but now i have a little big problem . When i start the PC i hear the fan running and all sorts of things but it won't start ...on the screen it just says "check the video input" and i don't hear the sound that it's normally made when you start a PC.

I put all the components back and i think they are well connected.

Any suggestions why it isn't working ?

It's not posting. try resetting the cmos. If you don't know how refer to motherboard manual.

Is the cpu, 24 pin power cables securly in the motherboard. Ram correctly seated?

If these are done dorrectly, after you try the cmos reset, takke out all ram sticks except for one an cycle it between each ram dimm untill you either have none left, or it works.
