my cpu on standby position is on 41C dergrees.
my question is if its normal temp for the q6600?
my room temp is under 25C degrees and my sys is on 27C degrees and its not overclocking, its on idle position.

my provider says its good but i am dont think so.

    thank u all .

    Welcome to HWF :)

You should look at the temperature during a load. A program like SuperPi can create a load on your CPU. The Q6600 is known to get hot, so you could expect a load temperature of 70-80C.

my problam is a liitle more complicated, the cpu dont was in this high temp before(when he was new) the idle temp on standby was pretty good (30C-35C) when the room temp is 25C-30C and after 2 years the temp was jump to 40c-43c. i think that the cpu cooler was damege and also my provider says that this is the problam and replace the cooler to a better one. its doesnt help for my cpu and he still on 41-43 degrees. i cant check it on load mode beacuse the copmuter is located with my provider. i ask that he check it again and he says that he check all the hardware and there is nothink worng.
mybe the cpu was break down and i need to replace it? i dont know what to do beacuse this is not the normal temp to intel cores and my provider says its normal.

its happen after the computer shut down him self couple of times during games load. the cpu has a self protection and turn off him self. his temp got to 80+ degrees on games. and now even that i replace the cooler the temp stuck on 41-43C in standby.
what happen that i cant get down the cpu temp like before??

thank you RHochstenbach for your response.

I would recommend to remove the cooler and clean the surface of the CPU. Any thermal paste on there needs to be wiped off. Then purchase some Artic Silver thermal paste. Apply it on the surface of the CPU (a thin layer) and then put the cooler back on.
