CPU Cooler

    I had Intel® Celeron® Processor 430 (512K Cache, 1.80 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) and i bought 4 my mobo ms 7529
    Intel® Pentium® Processor E5700 (2M Cache, 3.00 GHz, 800 MHz FSB) so before i install it i want to ask does anyone knows can i use the old cooler from celeron 430 for my new E5700 ?? tnx

    They both use the same socket, so yes that is possible.

    Do keep in mind that if you're using the stock cooler from the Celeron, it might not cool your E5700 sufficiently and become noisy (fan would blow at extreme speeds). So it would be wise to keep an eye on the temperatures.

    And also don't forget to run stress tests to make sure that the CPU won't overheat under stress. Prime95 is very good for that task.
