I finally decided to upgrade my old computer... as I am new to this forum I am not shure what kind of help I can ask you guys for but I will try my best to list my current spec. I do not have much knowledge in computer hardware so if you need more information or more details let me know and I will try to post it here.

    This is my current spec:
    CPU- AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 6000+ (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz
    RAM- 2,00 GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 251MHz
    Motherboard- ALiveNF6G-VSTA (CPUSocket)
Graphics- ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT (ATI AIB)

I am currently running MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
Wich parts should I upgrade with gaming in mind and wich are good and cheap solutions?

    Thank you in advance.

One spec is still needed: the PSU (Power Supply) brand and wattage. I would add some faster RAM (so you have 4GB in total) and a faster video card. Something in the Radeon HD5xxx series (HD5770). But you may need to upgrade your PSU.

Also, did you have any specific gaming titles in mind? Problem is that this PC is not really anything that would be a good all around machine (say, for highish settings or even medium on some more modern titles).

Thanks for your reply, My PSU is 480W Hipro HP-d4802rwb2.

I didn't have anything special in mind... just something that can run newer games around medium quality with good FPS... main emphasis is on actually running games smoothly and not high/ultra graphic settings
