Hi, I am new to this forum so I dont know if dis thread should be here anyways. I brought a new CPU yesterday Motherboard : GA-880GM-USB3 (gigabyte) CPU : AMD FX 8120 Memory : 4+4 DDR3 RAM 1333MHz BIOS VERSION : GA-880GM-USB3 FE OS installed : I have both windows 7 x86 and x64 installed on the machine. But my problem is that when ever i run windows either of them, I can only see 6gb of ram and of which only 3.5 is useable in x64 and 2.8gb useable in x86. BUT when i installed CPUID's CPU-Z I can see that the whole 8gb of Ram is working, i.e., hardware is fine, but how do i get to see the whole ram and utilize it fully.
This means that you are running a 32-bit version of Windows, which only supports up to 3.5 GB of RAM. You'll need to install the 64-bit version. You can use the Product Key of the 32-bit version to install the 64-bit version.
PROBLEM SOLVED THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP EVERYONE.. THE PROBLEM WAS WITH THE MEMORY STICK. I GOT IT REPLACED AND EVERYTHING IS WORKING FINE.
That's great, glad to help btw while you're at it, you might need to fix your Caps Lock key, because it seems stuck
