I made a pc upgrade consisting of: Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 (motherboard), AMD FX-6100 Black Edition (CPU) and 2xPatriot Viper RAM (1333 MHz, CL 7) and it only sees 3 GB in windows no matter how i arrange the ram or if the windows is 64 bit or 32.

    I am going crazy

What O/S are you using ? 32 bit will only show 3.25 gigs or 3 gigs... If you want to show over that you must run 64 bit system..

Try to check every RAM stick in separately , if both of then are working check theire settings within the BIOS
    Frequency and everything ...
with you good luck and hope you'll manage to fix this issue ...

*** Windows 32Bit can see up to 4Gb of RAM M
*** Windows 64Bit can see more than 4Gb of RAM M

Some times windows read incorrect amount of memory so yo may check for correct amount of memory in BIOS. Also please note: 32bit version OS recognize only up to 3.5GB of memory but 64bit version OS will recognize 4GB and more memory according to the system manufacturer memory limit.
