Hi there, I have a new build laptop (one of these, with a larger SSD, to be exact: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=LT-003-OP&groupid=959&catid=2431) and have just tried using skype with it (my OS is ubuntu 13.04). Now, something kind of interesting happens. The problems are at the other end, I haven't experienced them directly: my microphone sounds fine... until the webcam is activated, at which point there is a high-pitched ring for the other user (although not too loud, apparently). As I say, I haven't heard it directly, but apparently the ringing is noticeable although not unbearable (my gf said she could still hear what I was saying fine). I'm asking this question partly out of interest: it seems strange to me that this could happen. Is there perhaps a bad wiring in the pc so that the webcam interferes with the mic? It would also be nice not to have this ringing; I have a skype job interview tomorrow. I don't imagine that I will get it fixed by then (if at all), but would be interested if anyone else has had this problem and if there is a quick fix for it. Thanks for any comments (including those directing me to a better place to post this, if there is one)!
there is two faults first one is your drivers are not correctly installed second one is you audio device or audio card problem check it.
Did this laptop come with Windows 8 installed ? I see that you are using Linux, that could be your problem..Did it do this on Windows 8 ? I would try Windows 7, Windows 7 has allot more Drivers to make your software to work right, plus you can use XP drivers in compatibly mode.
