    Hello,

I need to connect Intel 5300 WiFi link Laptop adapter to my desktop PC through compatible converter, because i don't have a laptop which can house this card.

Use of this adapter is my limitation for my ME thesis.

I have a Acer desktop with mother board H61H2-M (veriton M200-H61) i want to incorporate this adaptor into it.

My question is can I successfully install that card into my desktop?? Will It work without any problem??

The proposed card and converter is as shown in image

You have mini PCI Express card and mini PCI Express to PCI Express x1 adapter? That combo should work. Random incompatibilities are always possible however. I assune you already checked that your MB has PCI Express x1 connector.

I do not purchased it yet, but searching the best possible match. (there are many variation available on e-buying websites)
I had checked my motherboard practically and theoretically, It possess PCIe slot.
But, Not sure about the Compatibility between
    1) Mini PCIe to PCIe converter & the mini PCIe card itself (doubtful for size mismatch)
    2) After Installation will motherboard support the functionality of that card??
This card is based on IEEE 802.11 n standard

    1) There should not be size issues because only two size of mini PCI Express devices exist.

    2) That's bit problem. You probably just have to try.

Why not PCI Express x1 WLAN card instead of mini PCI Express card+adapter?

    Because
That card is only available in mini PCIe and half mini PCIe variant. (Intel 5300 wifi link)
I need to stick to this card is because it possess designed tool that can extract binary information from physical layer. and my Dissertation depends on that info.
