@Ghostman 1 The reason contained in this article sounds plausible. I've not done any windows development but I can imagine it happening.

I think it's going to be hard to jump past 7. 10 will probably redeem 8/8.1 by steering away from the Metro/Modern UI. Win 7 is the new XP in terms of longevity. I'm not saying I won't go to 10, but right now, I have other things on my plate, so I will probably pass on 10's preview. If you have a multi-tasking OS, having a GUI that makes it difficult to do is downright silly. This was certainly not like the change from Windows 3.1 to 95. The typing anywhere search function was pretty slick, and I'd love to see that carried over. However, Microsoft needs to ditch metro on the desktop (phones and tablets are fine) and just keep the ball rolling for the rest and Win10 should be fine.

@Big B, I agree with you On Windows 7, It will be around a long time.. It is so far the Best OS from Microsoft Since XP.. Windows 10 seems to be pretty good so far, They did bring back the start Menu and start button, But they removed the Control panel and replaced it with Settings... It seem to be pretty fast, But They have not added all there garbage to it yet. It is so far better than Windows 8.0/8.1 , But I just started testing it..
