Laptop Not Booting Windows Installation From Dvd Or Usb - Help Needed

    hi ive got an acer aspire 5735 and after changing boot priority to dvd first it always boots directly from hard drive ,when using a usb it gives an error,can anyone give advice please?

    You may need to see if you get a prompt to hit a certain key to boot from the optical drive. For the USB, what does it say?

    Usb gives an error BCD , and if I press f12 it's gives me 2 options boot from pioneer dvd or hard drive I choose dvd and it just skips to hard drive and bypasses the dvd drive

    Are able to get into the bio's ? Look to see if your CD/DVD is listed .. Then change it to boot first, If that doesn't work, It sounds like it is not being recognize.... You will need to remove the bio's battery for 10 minutes and then try it again.
    Most older laptops cannot boot from USB.. Try another cd/dvd...
