Got a new mobo today for my old pc (gigabyte ga d2p in) micro atx....... When i connect it to the pc components , the mobo turned on but there was no display signal... the mobo had 24 pin power supply plug n my psu (180w atx) was 20 pinned, still i don't think dat could be the problem coz i searched google it is not an issue (not sure).,and also for the first time, i had connected the front panel cables wrongly....... when i reverted to the old intel mobo, it too turned on but stopped responding...... Is it dat the mobos r dead or is the monitor cable datz faulty....?????

    Mobo: Gigabyte ga-j1800m-d2p-in
    Cpu: celeron dual core
Gpu: integrated hd graphics bay trail d
    Ram: 2gb hynix ddr3
    Psu: Atx 180 watt p4
    Cabinet: Intex (2004 model)

Tried cmos reset but didnt work

    Sorry for my english though....

    Please help!!!

You need to have both the main ATX power connector and the +12V auxillary connector (behind the I/O panel) plugged in. If your power supply doesn't have that, you'll need to get one that does.
