I am hoping someone here can help me. I have an older Dell Inspiron 570 and having problems. It started having issues a couple of weeks ago. I thought it was the monitor because everything went black. Switched out the monitor and it worked fine for a week. Then nothing. All fans are working. It seems like the computer wants to POST but it's not. You will see a flicker on the screen and then nothing. No words will come across the screen. No beeps other than when I remove all RAM (stating it has no RAM). I've looked all over and now hope you all can help me to troubleshoot this and get it to working again. I don't mind small investments, in fact I have a new motherboard (same one) sitting here ready to be installed if needed. Aside from that, I need to wait several months to get a new computer. HELP me please!

Probably either motherboard or power supply is broken. Both are usually low quality parts on OEM machines.

It's quite impossible to tell what is broken unless you have spare parts available.
