Or, another "Big B is upgradin' something again" Yeah, I've got a 1GB kit of Crucial Ballistix coming in on Thursday. Time to have some more tweaking fun
Kingston ValueRam for me, reliable, cheap - I still hold my opinion that Kingston makes the best ValueRam you can get.
On the main computer (gaming, all-purpose) I am using a gig of Corsair XMS. In pretty much every other system I have built, I have used Kingston, whether it be Hyper X or just value. I am very much in love with Kingston. I have, however, used Mushkin in a system and it seems to work great.. no complaints at all.
I'll only use Mushkin or Corsair RAM. Have had other brands fail too much. Never tried OCZ, Patriot or G.Skill yet though.
corsair xms is great stuff I haven't had problems with any major name brand I'm stuck in consumerism mode
I've never used Corsair myself. It's one major brand that I've never touched, mostly because I didn't want to spend the money, or found alternatives. Side note: 1GB is nice. I've never needed it before, but it's been a great upgrade.
I have some super cheapo "V-data" ram, a stick of Patriot not so value ram, and some no thrills G.Skill ram. Works kind of weird all togerther as it comes out to 1.25GB's with latencies and overall quality all over the map.
