I'm thinking about upgrading my video card so I was wondering if this is a decent card or not. Also, having a card like this would make capturing video of a video game smoother right? Its ok, the 7600GT would be better though. The reason its all choppy when capturing video is due to the software i think, it limited the fps for some reason.
The 7600Gt is exactly what the other guy said -.- no the frames per second isn't low, it's that when I capture video, it lags the game, so the video does end up looking bad too. but the point is, if I use this video card will my capturing lag the game less since its a more powerful video card?
i dont know, i dont see why it laggs the game anyway, maybe its because its using alot of cpu power? What games are you trying to record vids on?
runescape.... Lol, whats your current video card, a nvidia GeForce 5200 can do that on ful settings, if thats all you play, there is no need to upgrade video card.
nvidia geforce 6600 128MB... I'm talking about good quality videos. not ones that you cant even read peoples names on it. plus, while I record it lags the game. Is that the video card or my processor? I'm aiming for almost absolutely no lag while videoing a high quality video. I need the no lag or I wont be able to play the game and its not worth recording unless it's high quality.
i dont know, but video encoding is very cpu intensive, so it would be the cpu thats causing the lag. Whats your full system specs? place them in the My Computer area that can be found at the top of the page on the lagre blue bar, or place them in your sig.
