My Computer

Default Potential uber cheap build

This may very well never happen but I can't really live without a PC in the house for my general use with music and web surfing that I require so if I end up getting the Xbox 360, a new HD TV I may have just enough to get a cheap temporary PC that will give me enough umph to serve me well, gaming no being a real factor naturally for this build.
Here's what I'm thinking, I can make it cheaper but I would ideally perfer it to stay about how it is:

HDD-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822135106

Mouse (gotta have some style)-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16826178004

Really cheap keyboard-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16823126164

Ram (x2)-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146548

Mobo/VGA-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813157084

PSU-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817153023

CPU-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819104245

Case-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811164040

Fan controller-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811164040

CPU cooler-- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835106604
I think that should do it, pretty cheap huh? Any suggestions would be appreciated but keep in mind the price, the lower the better within reason of course.

Lol, you're termporary computer has very similar specs to my main one, except mine is a P4. I may be missing something here, but what are you doing for an OS/Sound Card/Video Card/Speakers?

By the way, your MOBO link links to a stick of RAM.

Thanks, heh, I must have copied the same link twice, I fixed it so you'll link to a mobo, not the ram. I have an XP disk sitting around so that's no issue, otherwise I'd have to get a prebuilt to justify the price (may still have too). The mobo has an integrated 6100 GPU so that will get me by, I have speakers, the TV would serve as the monitor (or I could use the crappy 15'' I have now), and integrated audio will do.

Personally I would never get a case like that but if I had to keep it as low in price as possible that's pretty much my only option unless I want to spend $5 less on a beige piece of crap.
