Dear All Any Ideas If I Can Get Away With A 300watt Psu For A Geforce 7800gs 512mb Agp Or Will I Have To Invest In More Power? Some Web Sites Say I Need 350w Min But A Few Forums Have Said You May Be Ok With 300w???

300W sounds incredibly low. The 7800GS may not be the biggest power user in GPU terms but when you take in the rest of the rig and components that need power i'd say its a little low.
That said, if you already have the 300w PSU then give it a whirl, you may be ok. If not then you really wanna be looking to get a decent branded PSU around the 450/500w mark. Better to have to many watts than not enough. |
