Default power supply

some day when i powered my pc suddenly hdd and power led are died about 5 sec.
And then i press the power button pc won't boot. I open the case disconnect everything and then connect
again but does nothing!. I plug the POST card on my mobo but indicators not light except voltage lines.

I measured PSU with multitester seems ok. But When i measured PS_ON (green wire) with power on meter
displays 5V, when i release the switch it displays 400mV It MUST zero volt. Reset switch doesn't work either

is this PSU or Motherboard problem

sorry my english

the psu could possibly of been the problem, and may have damaged the motherboard. Whats your full system specs, what psu have you got, was it some psu with a case? i think you may have got a bad psu.

My Computer

It's times like these an ATX reset wouldn't go a miss... I know, I'm always putting that, it's force of habit... Whenever there might be a power issue, it's procedure at my workplace to do an ATX reset, because half of the time, it works...

Mrscrewdriver1, Do you leave your PC on for long periods of time before shutting down or restarting? (By this I mean days rather than hours)...

Go here and read my posts to see how to do it (ATX Reset)

Mike
