How about putting a qualification (techie, programmer, sen. programmer, computer engineer etc) field somewhere under the avatar? I dunno - just to understand who's asking and how can you answer. you know, just to save up some digital space and to avoid misunderstandings.

I'd like this, but not the classifications you have suggested though.
I'd like to see peoples 'real' qualifications.. ie. MSC, HDN, BSC etc
