Hello, I have an M2N-MX SE Plus Motherboard with a generic 1GB RAM stick and I was wondering if it would be safer to add a 1GB kingston RAM , replace old with a new 2GB Kingston RAM or add a 2GB kinston RAM.
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2Dual Core Processor 4000+ Another quick question can a software issue cause the system to automatically shut down during BIOS Setup because mine was shutting down like crazy and after I unistalled a software the problem dissapeared. |

I would buy another stick of the same part # so that you will avoid problems with voltage and timings. Otherwise, if you can get a good deal, get a dual-channel pair and replace the old stick altogether.
