When I try to remove quicktime, in the add/remove programs, it goes through an uninstall process, but does not get rid of the icon in the add/remove list.
What's going on?
(This is my first time posting, so I don't really know where this goes, if this is the wrong forum, please tell me!)

check under C: /program files and look for it there, then delete the folder.
also use regedit to fine the file and delete it there also. Also some software can be into memory at startup, So go to start Run and then :msconfig
next click on startup, Now look for your software there and UnCheck it..
This Should solve the problem...
