The motherboard I have my eye on has 6 SATA sockets controlled by the intel ICHR chipset. The second on-board IDE controller is a Jmicron which I understand controls the IDE channel & an external SATA socket.
The IDE channel is full with 2 optical drives. Question, can i have a raid array and a non raid Sata HDD controlled simultaneously by the intel chipset? Thanks for your help. |
