I just recently built a computer i connected everything and the computer boots up and there is a red light on the motherboard (not blinking) after a while the computer turns off.
I don't have windows yet so it has to be a hardware problem? Specs: CPU: Intel core 2 duo E6600 MOBO: Intel D975BX2X PSU: 430 watt I searched and saw a person say that it means that not enough power is going through to the motherboard but i doubt it. Any ideas on why this is happening would be great thanks in advance. |

Motherboards commonly have an LED on the motherboard to indicate power running to the motherboard, regardless of wether the system is turned on or not. Check the manual to be sure, but that's my first guess.
