Default Removing HS Fan off the AMD Heatsink?

Hi

I noticed that the fan blades were full of dust today, so i decided to open my case up to remove the dust, i then noticed there was a large amount of dust carpeted all over the heatsink under the fan, i want to remove the fan off the heatsink to remove the dust, i tried to remove the fan and broke some clip off the side of the fan, i havent done any damage though. How do i remove the fan off the heatsink on the AMD stock HS/Fan?

Thanks
Will T

there are four screws connecting the fan and heatsink. simply unscrew them and it will pop off.

i had to shut my computer down (five seconds on the power button ) just to show you i love doing it! but mine had four screws around the fan. can you maybe post a pic of your hsf?

EDIT: weird... i just saw your case pics... and nothing! no screw heads! is there a clip of some sort? alternatively, you can use a paint brush or a pump to clean it.

Compressed air and a stiff brush is the way to go.

I found out i have pull these clips at the side of the ran (in the process i boke them off, hasent caused any problems tho) and then push with a scredriver the thing inside the hole and pull the fan and it comes out.

i used a brush and got all the dust off, there was even paper in there :s, dunno were that came from.
