the res is based entirely on the input your monitor can handle and what your grfx card can output, so 1024 x 768 is probably monitors highest setting allowed
Hey all,
Wanted to know if there is a way that anyone knows that will allow you to increase the resoltion on Windows XP Home. Best i can get at the moment is 1024x768 but i need it bigger for some programs. Any Ideas?
Thanks in advance~

But i've had higher on this whatever next one is sure i've had it on this on the old windows 2000![]()
640 x 480, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, 1152 x 864, 1280 x 768, 1280 x 1024 1600 x 1200, then it gets stupid,
download drivers for your grfx card then set your grfx to "Standard VGA" and reboot & install new drivers
that should sort it (if it doesn't then drop kick the pc, then try it)
Right Click on your desktop > Properties than select settings go to advanced, select monitor tab. Increase the referesh rate over there, press ok. Now try to increase the resolution of your monitor.
