Router keeps disconnecting me from the internet

Been having a few problems with my router and well... here's the new one.

Started happening this morning, every minute or so the router just stops working, meaning i cannot get onto the internet.

I've got a Netgear RangeMAX ADSL Modem Wireless Router DG834PN.

Have four main lights on the router, one for signal one for the port im using at the back of the router. Both working fine.

The other two lights which determine the connection are the problem, they disappear every minute or so and i have to repair the connection and or take out the Ethernet cable.

The first light that is cut off seems to be the internet one.

When the light is on it indicates ''The Internet port has detected a link with an attached device''

when it blinks it indicates ''Data is being transmitted or received by the Internet port''

The other light that keeps disappearing is for the PPP Link. If the light is on then its mean ''PPP link is active or has reached idle timeout''

When its off it indicates ''No PPP link, modem is off, or no ADSL connection''.

My ISP is Tiscali and up until now its been working fine. Happened first on the laptop then as if it feeded through onto my desktop.

Since im on a Desktop the router is connected to my pc but the laptop is wireless.

Any ideas? thanks in advance
