Default Samsung Ram

ALso like to double check my pc updates so could anybody confirm that this ram

eBay.co.uk: SAMSUNG 2GB 2 x 1GB PC3200 400 MHZ 184PIN DDR RAM DIMM (item 250019034405 end time 23-Aug-06 20:00:00 BST)

will work in this motherboard

Asus P5GD1-VM Intel 915G Skt 775 800FSB SATA M/board

This RAM seems very very cheap. I want it for gaming, is it worth it? Normally 1 gb of corsair, kingston ram is the same price but I'am unsure on how much differance there is between those brands and samsung, all the specifications seem identicle.

Cheers for help.

3200 DDR isn't that fast for gaming, but the price sounds about right mate, on eBay anyways, i paid that price for 2 seperate auctions, 1GB DDR2 Corsair 4200 & 1GGB DDR2 Kingston 4200, bargains galore

Samsung is an excellent brand. They actually make the RAM chips themselves. Companies like Kingston and Corsair do not. They take the chips and put them on PCB's and resell them. Samsung can have things cheaper because they make the RAM chips in-house, thus lowering the total production cost. Corsair and Kingston's premier lines, XMS and HyperX, respectively, are geared for overclocking. Any RAM is going to be just fine for gaming. The amount is going to be fine. PC3200 will run fine with just about anything.
