Default SATA Hard Drive Installation Problem

I'm attempting (and failing) to install a second hard drive in my PC. I've been using an SATA hard drive with the operating system (XP) on, with 2 IDE hard drives for storage. I've just bought another SATA hard drive as I wanted to replace the 2 IDE drives. I want to transfer the data from the IDE drives on to the new SATA drive. I've connected the second SATA hard drive and it is recognised when I enter the BIOS set-up. All four hard drives are listed in the set-up. However, when Windows loads up and I go into My Computer, the second SATA hard drive is not there. Hopefully that made sense to someone on here. Is there something that I need to do in order to run 2 SATA drives? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

My Computer

You probably just need to initialise the drive in disk management

right click on 'my computer' - manage - disk management (its near bottom on the list to the left of the management window) after you click on this it should start the wizard, if not start it manually.

When I enter disk management I just get a list of all the drives except for the new SATA one. How do I start the wizard manually?

The drive has appeared in disk management now and I've initialised it. I'm just formatting it now, so hopefully it's okay. Thanks for the help.
