Yeah, I don't think so...at least not yet. There's not a good, solid alternative replacement just yet. True, they're touchpads and eraser heads on laptops, but it doesn't give the same precision as a mouse.

It pointed out the Guitar Hero guitar, and you could look at the Wii's remote, but they still suffer the same problem in the precision department, and in the case of the GH guitar, it's not suited for the task.

i hope not, but, the wii remote has a gyroscope inside it, interesting idea, controlling a traditional cursor with some kind of gyroscope

think cap on guys, what could replace the humble mouse ?

My Computer

When I had to use touch screens in a PC store that I used to work in, I absolutely hated it. Simply because using it for more than a minute caused arm ache as the touchscreen/monitor was vertically mounted. It's probably the most stupid ergonomic decision I've ever seen.

Nothing can really replace the precision of a mouse. But on laptops I'm open to new ideas.
