Default SATA drive not recognized in RC

For some reason Windows has corrupted the boot loader on my WD SATA drive and I cannot load Windows any longer. There is nothing wrong with the drive as my BIOS and Windows Setup recognizes it, but Windows Recovery Console does not recognize it. I think it is because the Windows partion information was stripped off the drive somehow. If I go into Windows Setup, I can see the WD SATA drive but it does not show that there is a formatted NTFS partition. That is why I believe the RC does not see the drive. Is there any way I can get around this problem so I can repair that drive? I've been trying to locate a way to change a file on a SATA drive from DOS, but have been unable to do so. Is there a boot disk somewhere that I can view the files on my SATA through DOS? RC is useless because it wont see the drive at all for some reason even though Windows Setup can see it. Im using a Gigabyte board with Nforce3 drivers. And this is after I've loaded the nforce3 drivers from hitting F6 at setup.

The drive is SATA1, but that is irrelevant because I've been using Windows on this machine for months. My hardware config works fine. But something was corrupted and the Windows boot loader was damaged some how. I need to find a way to change boot.ini or replace it through DOS or some other boot CD.
