My Computer

Default Serial Ports and Plotters

Hi,

Just got myself a 1700mm Plotter and its offline test seem to work but I cant get any response when i connect it.

It connects via a serial port (9 pin). My computer has a Serial port listed as COM1. It also came with a serial to USB adapater and im having no luck with either.

Help!!

Try the following steps:

Make sure the plotter is turned on.

Do a printer detection in Windows (control panels > Printers > Add new printer)
