hi there,
I dont think there is anyway to share a scanner over a lan environment like a printer is shared. but you could set it up so, you can scan the picture etc on the scanner, it then puts the scanned file in a "Shared Folder" from which you can access the file. Though this would be a problem for the user of the computer which the scanner is connected to. Though I am aware of some Hewlett Packard printers, which allow Scanner Sharing, so you gona have to buy a new scanner if you want to share it easily. hope this helps
