hi everybody i am planning to take a laptop which would cost something around 2500$.so please advice me wehter i should buy of the present available core 2 duo laptops or should i wait for the quadcore laptops and does anyone know when the quadcore processors will be released for the laptops.

It depends on whether you'll actually make use of the 4 cores. Most applications won't fully use 2 cores, although more are beginning to. I'd check power consumption figures of both and see which would be better for a laptop.

I think Intel Core 2 Duo will be the best choice at the moment, though it highly depend on what you plan to use the laptop for.
