this is the low down!! lol, my neighbour has a router working fine sharing net to another wireless computer they tried to add another computer it finds the ip subnet gateway and connects perfect, but it wnt load the net, so i turned off firewall and still no luck, the laptop works on other routers so its not the laptop wifi but the router connects so it cnt be the router? im confused?

Go to the wireless connection in windows>right click>properties>and check the properties of TCP/IP protocol and the DHCP settings are alright.

Make sure the router is configured properly and that the laptop is configured to work correctly with the router. Some routers require MAC authentication, in that case you will have to discover the hardware MAC address of her laptop's wireless adapter and add it into the appropriate dialog in the router. If in doubt, refer to the router's documentation.
