Default skt 478 and pci express?

is there any motherboards that are pci express, and also have socket 478 processor support, as i think i may go for pci-e as there cheaper than most agp high end graphics cards.

hmm, i wonder how much it is, do you think i should settle for an x800pro or xl and get that motherboard too?
as pci express high end cards are cheaper than there agp counterparts.

the problem is, is that motherboard actually on sale in the uk, i cant find it anywere, but i think if i got a new motherboard thats pci epress and then got an x800xl, i would wish i stayed with agp and got the best card for agp :\

I think you should go with PCIe, better upgradeability!
Also this thread may give you an idea on which card to get based on performance.

My Computer

how much is the socket 478 board with pci express?

i cant find it anywere

seems like x850xt pe is the best again, seems like if i got that motherboard which i cant fnid anywere i should get a 6800gt as i could not afford an x850xt pe and the motherboard.

i think i may still go agp as well, its not like i am going to need to upgrade for ages with the x850xt pe, it can fun F.E.A.R and thats got better graphics than even doom 3 i think, so i think i will be fine, i might upgrade to amd athlon 939 socket and agp eventually, but at the moment, the x850xt should be good for me.

I think you're looking at a rare bird, at least as far as higher-end boards go. Budget-oriented companies are putting those boards out, but beyond that, don't expect to see much, if anything from the big boys...at least nothing that's advertised toward the DIY'ers like most of the people here.
