Slimtype DVD A DS8AZH ATA
My CD/DVD Rom (Slimtype DVD A DS8AZH ATA) used to work on my HP Pavilion dv6235ca laptop, but all of a sudden it is not working. It says that the device cannot start (Code 10). Then when I click "Check for solutions", it says "Could not load driver software. When I tried to update the driver software, it says it's already updated. Under Device Manager there is a yellow triangular icon with an exclamation mark in it. It's like my laptop isn't even seeing the drive. Please help!!

does device manager give a reason ?
i think you right click the device with the yellow triangle & select Properties, also are there an errors in event log ? is i possible to test the drive on a similar laptop and finally can you borrow the CD / DVD drive from someone with a similar laptop ?
