Software update?

Ok, so I have my PSP now (at last) and I go to a link to update the software to version 2.00 but shock horror! It says it's only compatible with model 1001, and I've got a 1000! What on earth am I to do about updating my software?

And yes, I got it in Japan.

just so you know, if you update ur firmware past ver 1.50 then you wont be able to run any 'homebrew' software.....so if you are still on 1.50 it might be worth staying there

You should be able to get it from Sony's Japanese PSP site here, or you should just be able to use the network update feature on the PSP if your able to connect to a wifi network.
