My Computer

Default Sound card stops computer from shutting down

Hey, I've recently installed a sound card in my girlfriends computer (soundcard from ebay) and the computer now wont shut down. I'm guessing this is a hardware fault, but figured I'd check here first. What action should I take if it is a hardware fault?

Thanks

Ya, its better to check the sound card on a separate slot and on another machine.

How did you shutdown the machine, using power button or follows the Log Off option to end the session?
