My Computer

Default sound problem

i have restores someones computer, and there seems to be no cd for installing graphics, motherboard and sound drivers.

the computer is a 1.9ghz xp2600+
480mb ram
intergrated GeForce 4 MX GPU.

It is a MESH computer.


i dont know what the intergrated sound chip type is, is there anyway to find out?

Check the make/model of the motherboard, from there you can find the exact drivers you need. Use CPU-Z.

all i can find is that its got a Nforce 2 chipset.

Can't seem to find any good info for that motherboard. Try http://support.asus.com/download/dow...Language=en-us and maybe find a similar model and try the sound drivers for it.
