Yeah I made the picture and all, but it totally sucked so I passed it through a few filters and voila!

ok, this is what we had to do at uni, more of photo editing than graphics design but well worth learning! notice the color change etc etc etc hehe

And yeah, the bowling ball - esque image is very nice. But if you don't mind me pointing out a possible improvement - if you use some blurring, smudges and opacity effects, you could touch up the top of the piece where the line is and make it blend better!
