My Computer

Default Sweeeeeeet! Lenny got 2.6.25

The new kernel seems to have solved my issue with the B43 driver.
No more wireless connection drops!!!

HA!

However = the new kernel disabled my laptop's power monitoring applet...
So I installed Kpowersave and all back to normal!

I am cutting edge, baby!!!!

I know I am going to be sorry posting this.....

No, I don't mind helping you. But every time you ask me to help you, either your firewall is up or your IP has changed, etc. Your PC is never ready for me to look at it! How am I supposed to help?

BTW, I am planning on packaging newer builds of the kernel for the repo as soon as this bug is fixed: http://www.mail-archive.com/debian-b...msg538979.html ...otherwise I'd have to do so many hacks (or write my own build scripts -- something I don't have time for), most users would have a hard time using them.

good point, i think you have only successfully remotely helped me out once or twice (which i am greatful for) i think my gfx is causing a lot of probs, which is why i'm saving for another AGP X8 card & possibly using Debian

BTW: thank you for all previous attempts to help me, will maybe try again when new gfx

My Computer

As I thought - this was too good to be true and lasted not very long.....

For some reason, my box just freezes like a good windows box and I can do nothing but hold the button down to shut the laptop off. I am pretty sure this has nothing to do with the B43 driver..... god knows....

I am really not sure what started this behavior. I think I should really start taking notes of what I am doing....

Oh, well.... back to 2.6.18.....
