eBay.co.uk: Intel P4004 4004 The World's first microprocessor. (item 200042075713 end time 05-Nov-06 19:21:02 GMT) When ive got the time and money I want to start collecting old cpus. This has got to be one of the hardest to get and its going cheap! Well I think so anyway. 35 years old and 740khz Its not the gold c4004 though, they really are rare.
[ot]LOL[/ot]no it too fast for Vista, XP would probably be ok on it though[ot]if XP does't like it - tuff :smahd:[/ot]
:sniper:......................:good: My borother doesnt even let me stock an extra 15" CRT monitor at home. I m just wondering if I starts collecting old things then he will definately kick me out..lol
The pre-production version was 108Khz, they were all set I think with leaving it at 108Khz (they even printed 108 on the datasheet!) but must have realised they were in Windows 9x territory so had to push the boat out a bit. The 8008 (or one of the 8xxx series processors) are still used in some calculators now! Believe it or not people overclock them and everything!
