    This looks awsom but my guess is, as yours, that it will rocket.
    One thing I do not understand -
    If the thermal plate (IHS) has been removed, how can you fit a heatsink? won't it squash the processor? :eek:

    Anyway, according to the guy this is not a one off but a part of a lot which he has.
    Back of a lorry??????

    You can get little foam pads which you put on the rest of the cpu to hold the heatsink steady.

    If you used a standard p4 heatsink I dont think it would clamp on tight enough, you'd need a different HSF mount on the motherboard.

    Loads of cpus dont have an IHS, the latest one ive got is an AthlonXP2000, my celly 633 was the same.

    It went for £72... pretty well normal for a 3.4ghz P4, though the untested thing should be a worry, the thing must have been hammered!
