AGP question

    how can i install a new vid card when i have a built in graphics controller...
    no AGP... is it possible???

    Yes it is possible, but you will have to buy a PCI graphics card. As bad as that may sound, even PCI graphics cards are better then on-board graphics! :)

    ok... im just 15 so pls.. correct me if im mistaking.... Does PCI a graphic card type??? do they have a Nvidia type... and are they expensive???

    Yes, manufacturers (such as nVidia) will produce an AGP, PCI-E & PCI version of their graphics card.

    The problem with putting a graphics card in a PCI slot is that it has to share the BUS with other devices such as a network card, sound card etc. Not only that, but it's a much slower BUS.

    AGP is a dedicated graphics card bus, and can improve the speed of your games dramatically.

    PCI-E is a relatively new technology. It improves on AGP and PCI.
